Everyone likes to think that they are the best at the job they do. Being part of an industry where change is constant means you can never asume to be this. All you can do is grab every opportunity to learn whatever new technology is available to you.

There are still some basic rules to keep in mind when creating digital artwork. Anyone who has created artwork the traditional way will know that presentation is important. This is still true with digital artwork. There is nothing worse than opening a file only to find a million guides that don't seem relevant to anything; or a dozen layers, some with artwork on, some without and some switched off; or the colour palate full of colours not relevant to the job, even the same colour half a dozen times with different names. All this makes a file difficult to work with.
