Always try to keep your artwork as simple as possible and try to follow these rules:

1. Keep layers to a minimum, ie: Ticks, Cutter, Artwork, Bleed.

2. Delete guides once artwork is finished unless they are of any importance.

3. Delete unused colours and make sure there aren't multiples of the same colour.

4. Centralise your artwork on the document page.

5. Bare in mind how you would expect to receive artwork.
